Start a Group

Welcome! We’re so glad you’ve found Workaholics Anonymous and that you would like to add a new group to WA’s growing international Fellowship. Here are some resources.

What is considered a WA Group?

According to the WA Bylaws:

“In WA, a group may be formed by two (2) or more persons meeting together who practice the Twelve Steps and maintain the Twelve Traditions of Workaholics Anonymous. Each group shall be duly registered with the WSO [World Service Organization] by completing and submitting the standard registration form.…”

(“Bylaws of Workaholics Anonymous World Service Organization, Inc.,” 2006, Article 8)

Disclaimer

Meetings are not held by licensed mental health professionals. They are voluntary gatherings of fellow workaholics who “share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from workaholism. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop working compulsively.”
(from the WA Preamble and Tradition Three)
