Workaholics Anonymous World Service holds an international conference every one to two years so that members can share their experience, strength, and hope. Newcomers are welcome - for some this is the first opportunity to meet face to face with other recovering workaholics.
What Happens at a W.A. Conference?
Conferences are a time to
connect with fellow recovering workaholics. In a retreat setting, attend
face-to-face Topic and Step meetings, learn about WA Tools and Principles,
develop abstinence plans, and enjoy free time for relaxation, nature, and
fellowship. Some people find or meet with sponsors. There is a fun night including the silent
auction fundraiser for World Service and games, and at least one break that involves group
activities such as hiking and visiting local sites. There are meditation times in
the mornings and "night owl" candle light meetings.
